Terms

1

Scope of these terms

The application is private software with a single user, who is also its operator. It is not distributed, sold, or made available to other users. These terms bind no one else, and exist to state the arrangement rather than to impose obligations on a reader.

2

Permitted use

Data retrieved through the Oura API is used solely for the operator's own analysis of their own sleep. It is not used to train models offered to others, not incorporated into any commercial product, and not used to make claims about anyone else.

3

No warranty

The software is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It is experimental research tooling, and the operator accepts all risk arising from its use.

4

Relationship to Oura

This application is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ōura Health Oy. It is an independent client of the public Oura API, and use of that API is governed by Oura's own terms and privacy policy, which control the data at its source.

5

Privacy

What the application reads, where it is stored, and who can see it are set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6

Changes

Any change is published on this page with a new effective date. Because the application has a single user, who is also its operator, there is no separate notification process.

Not a medical device

This application does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and nothing it produces is a medical claim. It is a personal research tool. Sleep and heart-rate figures it displays are consumer wearable estimates, not clinical measurements, and must not be relied on for any medical decision.
